The Pennsylvania Association for Thoracic Surgery (PATS) is the largest and oldest organization of cardiothoracic surgeons in the mid Atlantic region. The majority of its membership comes from the State of Pennsylvania, but there are also members from New Jersey, Delaware, New York, Ohio and North Carolina. Each year the Association has an annual meeting of its membership. This year we are expanding our membership and evolving into a new organization, The Eastern Cardiothoracic Surgical Society. Meetings like this, which allow for the exchange of ideas and scholarship through the continuing medical education process, are extremely important to maintain a margin of excellence, and to continue to deliver quality health care in our region.

We invite you to participate in this process by considering an educational

grant for the 50^th Annual Meeting of the Pennsylvania Association for Thoracic Surgery / Eastern Cardiothoracic Surgical Society.

The PATS annual meeting has been traditionally considered to be one of the unique meetings in cardiothoracic surgery that provides unprecedented networking opportunities for industry and clinicians, in a relaxed and family oriented environment.  

Each year supporting companies acknowledge the importance of the educational goals of the Pennsylvania Association for Thoracic Surgery by providing unrestricted educational grants.  Your charitable donation will be used for educational purposes.  Specifically, the donation will be used to cover the cost of honoraria, travel and lodging of our guest speakers and faculty, and to provide education and training materials for the conference.  Your donation should be made payable to The Pennsylvania Association for Thoracic Surgery.  Our Tax ID # is 25-1668436.
